A Leesburg couple remain hospitalized in Fort Wayne’s Parkview Hospital with critical injuries following a Saturday afternoon motorcycle crash.

According to Indiana State Police, Robert and Bobbi Cleveland were on their motorcycle on SR 15 near Marion when they collided with another vehicle. The accident happened just after 3 p.m. near the Shady Hills Golf Course.

Initial reports that Robert had undergone a shoulder surgery were incorrect. According to Laci Earle, the couple’s daughter, the Clevelands are expected to be recover, but that process will be slow.

According to police, Robert did sustain a leg injury and Bobbi sustained skull fractures and a ruptured spleen. Earle said both are still hospitalized but resting comfortably and appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support from the community.
