It’s been several years since an air show was featured in Warsaw, but it’s happening this year and it promises to be a big event.

The 2013 Air Show of Warsaw and EAA Fly-In will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Warsaw Municipal Airport.

Events will include air shows from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., a general aircraft fly-in, a skydiving demonstration, airplane rides, food and beverages, antique and experimental aircraft displays, remote control aircraft demonstration, a moon walk, computer flight simulator sessions and more. Event fuel discounts will also be offered to incoming pilots.

In addition to airplane based activities, Johanna Long, nationwide series driver, will be at the event. Music will be provided by a live radio broadcast with Flyin’ Brian from Oldies 98.3. Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and sunscreen for a day of fun and flying. Admission is free.

The event is sponsored by the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation Inc., Biomet, DePuy Sythes, City Aviation & World Fuel and StaceyPageOnline.com. Visit the Air Show of Warsaw and EAA Fly-In Facebook page for more information.
