The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Warsaw Police took one man into custody this morning after an alleged threat to life.

The male Hispanic suspect was detained by police and, according to KCSD Sgt. Chad Hill, is currently being questioned. Hill said the incident began at Suburban Acres when a female alleged that the male threatened to shoot her and kill any police officer who responded.

Hill said it is not clear at that this time if a weapon was actually located on the suspect or in his possession when the man was found at Ace Hardware on Center Street. He was taken into custody in the parking lot without incident.

Hill said depending on the findings of the investigation, more information could be forthcoming. The suspect has not yet been arrested or charged with a crime.
