Kathleen “Ruby” Bringman, 58, of Nappanee, Ind., died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Indiana University Medical Center, where she had been admitted July 1.

She was born March 6, 1955, in Miami, Fla., to John and Bettie (Wood) Kendrick. On Oct. 16, 1993, Kathleen married Peter Bringman in Nappanee.

Kathleen had worked at LuAnn Nursing Home and loved Nascar and drag racing. She also enjoyed going to car shows and was especially fond of Fords.

She is survived by her husband: Peter; a son: Fletcher Garner, Cary, N.C.; a daughter: Janeca Adkins, Nappanee; grandchildren: Donovan Adkins, Grace Adkins, Destiny McKinney; her mother: Bettie Kendrick, Sebring, Fla.; and brothers: Larry Kauffman, Nappanee; James Kendrick, Nappanee.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and for 1 hour prior to the funeral service, which will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the funeral home. Rev. Terry Tyler will officiate and burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warriors.
