Residents of Wawasee and Syracuse lakes gathered Saturday morning for a pancake and sausage breakfast at Oakwood Retreat, Syracuse, for the Annual Wawasee Property Owners Association and Syracuse Lake Association Annual Family Breakfast. Close to 300 residents and their families attended.

Not only did attendees receive breakfast, but many area organizations, such as the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Wawasee Flotilla, Turkey Creek Fire Territory and others were on hand to provide information, tell of their projects and give guests an opportunity to see the fire equipment. Perhaps the highlight was the opportunity to get an aerial view of the area with the fire department’s ladder truck. Riders were taken up approximately 70 feet.

Guests were also able to purchase the new Wawasee Memories 2013, interviews and scenery from around Lake Wawasee, a project of WPOA.

A few of the photos from the morning are in the gallery below.
