Betty (Philpot) Leek, 57, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 5:39 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in her residence.
She was born on April 8, 1956, to James and Mary Philpot who preceded her. On May 27, 1977, she married Joe Leek. He survives. She was a long time employee of United Telephone Company and in later years was a consultant to JRZ Industries.
Betty was a quiet, unassuming lady of great character, strength and courage. She fought cancer for 13 years while maintaining dignity, grace and compassion for others. She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband; a son: Ryan (Lindsey) Leek; a grandson: Parker; and brother: Jamie ‘Jim’ (fiancé Jodie Schelmadine) Philpot.
Private services are planned.
