Local authorities have sealed a police report involving what some are calling a possible child abduction attempt in Warsaw.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Detective Lt. Todd Sautter said, “It is a sealed and confidential report that is under investigation at this time due to the age of the child.”

On Sunday afternoon, according to two residents of the Graceland Village Mobile Home Park who contacted StaceyPageOnline, a 5-year-old girl was allegedly lured to an area of the park and carried into a wooded area. One woman, who asked that her name not be used due to fear for her own child, told StaceyPageOnline.com that it happened at the end of Longspur Lane in the mobile home park, which is located west of CR 325 East and north of U.S. 30 in Warsaw.

The woman said it happened around 4 p.m. Sunday and, while she offered a detailed account, KCSD officials are not revealing any details, other than to say the Department of Child Services was contacted on the date of the call and are also involved in the investigation.

At this point, authorities will only say the case is being fully investigated and are not confirming or denying any public accounts.
