The public is invited to participate in a Lakes and Agriculture Forum from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in the Center Park Pavilion, Warsaw.

A free catered lunch will be included but reservations are needed today. Reservations can be made by calling 574-372-5100 ext. 6446 or [email protected]. Check in time is 11:30 a.m. to noon.

This event is in conjunction with the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival occurring that day.

The forum will include a panel discussion by agricultural leaders from IDEM regarding to proposed confined feeding operations projects, DOW Ag Sciences, and possibly U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski. There will be time for a questions and answers with the panel members.

This will be an opportunity for environmental and agricultural groups to discuss how to protect local water resources as well as how to partner together to improve water quality.
