Hither & Yon, a new home décor store at 3592 E. U.S. Hwy 30, celebrated its grand opening Friday, May 24, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. There was a large group of supporters on hand to hear about the miracle of dozens of people coming together to donate their time, energy, expertise and money to make the store a reality. Along with the many volunteers, local businesses also joined in the effort to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

The sales from the opening weekend exceeded expectations. Mission Director for Mission Point Community Church, Jamie Koser, will work to distribute the proceeds.  “Not only did a countless number of customers walk through the doors and catch the vision of empowering people through education, but lives were changed,” says Jamie.  “With the amount of money brought in, over 130 children can now receive a semester of education in Zambia, Africa or 18 high school moms at Heartline Pregnancy Center can be assisted with daycare costs for one week!”

Hither & Yon will be open again Friday and Saturday, June 14-15, with a wide array of beautiful and unique home furnishings. More information is available on the Hither & Yon Facebook page.
