Par-Kan Company, a growing industrial equipment and component manufacturer in Silver Lake, serving the airline ground support, agricultural, refuse and other material handling markets, today announced the appointment of Greg Wilkerson as Par-Kan’s president, effective May 13, and Richard Burton, chief financial officer, effective April 29.

Wilkerson brings more than 25 years of industrial manufacturing experience to his role, having previously served as divisional vice president and general manager with CTB Inc., a leading global equipment supplier to the agricultural industry.

Prior to CTB, Wilkerson served as president of two manufacturing companies within Dover Corporation, and held a number of management positions with Dupont and Kaneka corporations.

Wilkerson received his Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and an MBA, majoring in finance, from Indiana University-Bloomington. Wilkerson replaces David Caldwell, who is retiring, having served as president of Par-Kan since 2000.

Burton brings more than 30 years of experience to his new role having previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Specialized Transportation Inc., a leading supplier of specialized supply chain solutions. Prior to STI, Burton held a number of management positions with North American Van Lines and its successor Sirva Inc.

Burton received his Bachelor of Science in business with a major in accounting from Indiana University Fort Wayne. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.
