A fire in the Enchanted Hills area of Cromwell Wednesday night has been ruled arson.
The Turkey Creek Fire Territory responded to 11938 N. Sir Gallahad Pl. Cromwell at 8:04 p.m. May 29.
Upon their arrival, heavy smoke was noted coming from the 56-foot mobile home, which was unoccupied.
Tankers from the Turkey Creek Fire Territory, the North Webster Fire Department and the Cromwell Fire Department were used to shuttle in water to battle the blaze, which fully engulfed the trailer. Additional manpower was also brought in from North Webster Fire Department.
The trailer, owned by Janet Reams, was a total loss. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, which was brought under control at 8:33 p.m. Crews left the scene shortly after 11 p.m.
Squad 70, the Kosciusko County Fire Investigation Team, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department were requested at the scene to investigate the cause and origin of the fire. The cause of the fire has been ruled as arson.
According to witnesses on scene, three minors were seen running from the area of the trailer prior to the fire. The fire remains under investigation.
