The Triton softball team will have to wait until Friday evening to play for a sectional championship.

The sectional title game between the Trojans and Westville at South Central was postponed Thursday night.

Triton (21-8) will now meet Westville in the finale of the Class 1-A South Central Sectional Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The winner of the South Central Sectional will play at the winner of the Lakewood Park Christian Sectional in a one-game regional May 28.

The final at Lakewood Park Christian pits the No. 1 ranked and defending state champion hosts versus Fort Wayne Canterbury. That sectional title game is scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m. at Lakewood Park Christian.
