Dennis Robert Firestone, 60, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away at 6:54 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at his home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1952, in Whitley County, Ind., a son of Robert G. and Mildred A. (Schneider) Firestone. His formative years were spent in South Whitley. He graduated from Whitko High School in 1971.

He was currently employed at Whitley Midtown Market. For over 30 years, he worked for Nutritional Research, South Whitley.

Surviving include his two children: Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Innen, Warsaw, Ind.; Matthew R. Firestone, Leesburg, Ind.; two grandchildren; a sister: Sue Martin, Warsaw; and his domestic partner: Sarah Mills, South Whitley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
