Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson, along with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, are investigating the death of a Tippecanoe Valley High School student.

The teen, Cody Floyd, 16, was a sophomore at the school. StaceyPageOnline.com has been told the teen was found in a Burket home Sunday morning unresponsive and bleeding from the nose. In addition to noting how and where he was found, KCSD will only say the teen was deceased upon their arrival shortly after 9:21 a.m.

Classmates of Floyd’s on Sunday, according to Jody Torpy, said his death was an overdose. Authorities have not released an official cause of death but note toxicology test results will take weeks to confirm.
