Home Décor Store Coming Soon
Hither & Yon will celebrate their much anticipated grand opening of the new affordable home décor store in Warsaw on Friday, May 24.
The inspiration for Hither & Yon came from Susan Grill just as her business “The Shop Upstairs” was closing. “I felt God was leading me to donate much of my remaining inventory to some worthwhile ministry,” says Grill. After partnering with Mission Point Community Church and finding a location donated by Heather Marshall, owner of Nest Furniture & Design, opening this summer, Hither & Yon became a reality.
The goal of Hither & Yon is to foster hope through education, both locally and in the Third World countries. The store will partner with Heartline’s Teens-n-Tots program designed to support teen moms through high school graduation.
In addition to supporting young mothers here locally, Hither & Yon will help fund education for children in Zambia — for whom a high school graduation can be life altering. At $15 per semester, many families in Zambia cannot afford to send their children to school. Without an education in Zambia, poverty is inevitable.
“I’m thrilled education is the centerpiece for this store,” says Jamie Koser, Mission Director at Mission Point Community Church. “Once someone is given an education, they can never lose it … empowering a person to provide for their family in a sustainable way. The potential for this store to create a ripple effect of change in this world is huge!”
Hither & Yon, located at 3592 E. U.S. 30, Warsaw, will offer an ever-changing array of furnishings for your home and will officially open their doors on Friday, May 24. The business will be open every second and fourth weekend of the month from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
