SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko baseball team dropped a 9-2 decision to Wabash in Three Rivers Conference play Wednesday.

The Wildcats, ranked No. 7 in Class 3-A, have now dropped two league games in a row.

Wabash, which improves to 11-7 overall and 3-2 in the TRC, scored five runs in the third inning to take control.

Whitko falls to 15-7 overall and 2-3 in the league.

The Wildcats host Columnbia City Friday.
