Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Sunday, May 5, 11 p.m. Ranch Road and Kincaid Street. Driver: Cymberlee S. Braden, 20, North 175 East, Warsaw. Braden told the officer she received a text message on her cell phone and looked down to read it when she ran off the road and struck a sign and two mailboxes. Damages: up to $2,500

Sunday, May 5, 3:47 p.m. North Detroit and East Fort Wayne streets. Drivers: Nelda A. Snider, 79, Crystal Ridge, Middlebury; and Chad M. Dahms, 30, Laurelwood Drive, Warsaw. Snider apparently fell asleep at the wheel and rear-ended Dahms’ vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000

Sunday, May 5, 1:08 p.m. North Detroit Street and Petro Drive. Drivers: Rose E. Long, 51, EMS C28E1 Ln., Warsaw; and Chris W. Jagger, 44, 486 W. Clearwater Dr., Warsaw. Long was southbound on North Detroit and attempting to change lanes but failed to see Jagger’s vehicle and turned into it. Damages: up to $2,500

Saturday, May 4, 2:24 p.m. Lyon and Detroit streets. Drivers: Judith A. Dubbs, 59, West Perry Street, Warsaw; and Jason C. Adame, 17, Lyon Street, Warsaw. Dubbs was backing from a parking lot onto Lyon Street but failed to see Adame’s vehicle and backed into the passenger side of it. Damages: up to $5,000

Friday, May 3, 2:21 p.m. East Center Street. Drivers: Barbara J. Fraley, 74, North 100 East, Warsaw; and Claude D. Clark, 35, South Union Street, Warsaw. Fraley was backing from a parking space and collided with Clark’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500

Friday, May 3, 11:27 a.m. West Lake Street and Hepler Drive. Drivers: Amber L. Yohe, 19, EMS W25 Lane, North Webster; and Thomas W. Swartz, 70, South Jackson Street, Atwood. Yohe was westbound on Lake Street and turned into the path of Swartz’s oncoming vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, May 4, 3:29 p.m. SR 15 and West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Driver: Lorna M. Sherwood, 45, Cedar Street, Elkhart. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, May 4, 11:43 a.m. SR 19 and West 800 North, Etna Green. Driver: Anthony R. Hamilton, 32, Medera Drive, Valparaiso. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, May 4, 11:35 a.m. Lake City Highway and South 250 East, Warsaw. Drivers: Terry L. Coles, 57, Birchdale Drive, Fort Wayne; and Denise R. Esterline, 47, Ryerson Road, Pierceton. Esterline stopped for a police car with its emergency lights activated and was struck by Coles. Damages: up to $5,000

Friday, May 3, 4:16 p.m. Lake City Highway and South 250 East, Warsaw. Drivers: Skyler A. Cone, 25, South 1st Street, Pierceton; and Kailee E. Pratt, 20, East Washington Road, Pierceton. Cone did not realize Pratt was slowing for traffic and rear-ended her vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500

Friday, May 3, 8:04 a.m. North 100 East and East 200 North, Warsaw. Driver: Kenneth L. Yost, 67, North Vicky Lane, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Friday, May 3, 6:54 a.m. West 200 South and SR 25 West, Warsaw. Driver: Delbert Bolen, 66, South Mallard Road, Mentone. Driver struck a deer. Damages: less than $1,000
