AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team dropped an 8-1 final to Northfield Thursday.

The Norsemen outhit the hosts 12-4 en route to the Three Rivers Conference win.

Northfield is the defending Class 2-A state champion and they are currently ranked No. 1 in their class.

Isaac Shewman had a hit and an RBI to lead the Vikings, who drop to 3-8 overall and 1-2 in the TRC.

Tanner Andrews, Mason Teel and Drake Hyden each had a hit for Valley.

Northfield improves to 12-3 overall and 2-1 in TRC play.

Valley plays at Argos Friday.
