WARSAW – A tough stretch of matches in the Northern Lakes Conference continued Wednesday night for the Warsaw girls tennis team.

The host Tigers dropped a 4-1 final to Concord in NLC competition.

Junior Jacqueline Sasso collected the lone point for Warsaw, which drops to 1-8 overall and 1-5 in league play.

Sasso played a strong match at No. 2 singles as she defeated Hailey Stiver 6-2, 6-0 for coach Rick Orban’s squad.

The host Tigers lost a pair of three-set finals to Concord.

Holly Angel rallied to defeat Rachel Alexander 1-6, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the winners.

Concord also claimed the No. 1 doubles match in three sets as Megan Auger and Emily Davis outlasted Olivia Wallin and Marley Smith 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Concord’s Jenna Landis defeated Sarah Boyle 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.

The Minutemen also won at No. 2 doubles as the team of Sam Lutian and Holyn Eldridge topped Abbi Baum and Mallory Bartel 6-0, 6-0.

Concord won the JV competition 7-5.  Winners for Warsaw were Blair Findlay at No. 1 singles and Mallorie Stiver at No. 4 singles. Also winning in doubles play for Warsaw were Lindsay Sciarra and Mattie Doran at No. 1, Camille Kerlin and Anna Hall at No. 2 and Casey Shirk and Taylor Smith at No. 8.

Warsaw plays at Culver Academy Thursday.
