A crowd of approximately 1,400 Kosciusko REMC members and their families filled the Warsaw Community Church on Saturday, April 20, for the electric cooperative’s 74th Annual Meeting.
The primary item on the agenda was the election of directors. Incumbent Kim Buhrt defeated Don Bokhart, incumbent Pam Messmore defeated Russell Boucher, incumbent Fred Powell defeated Joe Stanley, and incumbent Tony Fleming defeated Greg Harden.
Board Chairman William Stump introduced new President and CEO Bruce Goslee and gave a heart-felt tribute to past KREMC Board Chairman John H. Anglin, who passed away unexpectedly last year.
CEO Goslee presented an update on the AMI project and overview of the state of the co-op. Also, during the meeting the 2012 Annual Report and financial highlights were presented by Secretary/Treasurer Terry Bouse.

Members were entertained by up and coming country music star Levi Riggs from Danville, Ind., while the children’s program featured a magic show, photo booth and craft area.
Adult grand prize winners were: Karl and Mary Lou Shepherd, who won the Big Green Egg donated by The Outdoor Living Center; Marsha Wiesehan, who won an iPad mini; Lela Ryan and family, who won two red fan back poly chairs; and Terry White, who won the 32-inch flat screen TV.
Children’s prize winners were Brynn White who went home with an electric mini cooper and Maddy McSherry who won a bike and helmet.

“Congratulations to Kim Buhrt, Pam Messmore, Fred Powell and Tony Fleming,” said Bruce Goslee, KREMC President and CEO. “We appreciate the service all of our directors provide to our members, and to our members for showing their dedication and loyalty by attending the 74th KREMC Annual Meeting.”
