A new fund at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation will honor the memory of Tracey Yeager and provide outdoor family recreation and fitness opportunities.

The Tracey’s Trails Fund will support the building, improving and maintaining of hiking/cycling trails, greenways and linear parks in Kosciusko County.

Tracey was an avid runner, and especially loved to involve her family and friends in her fitness activities. She passed away on Memorial Day of 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Her family and friends will honor Tracey at the second annual Tracey Yeager Memorial 5K, to be held on Monday, May 27, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Winona Lake.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Tracey’s Trails Fund. Those interested in registering for the race may do so at www.sym.com.

Those interested in donating to the Tracey’s Trails Fund can make an online gift at www.kcfoundation.org/donate and should include “Tracey’s Trails” in the fund designation field.
