Brooke Catherine Miller and Lanae N. Haessig have been named the valedictorian and salutatorian respectively for the 2013 graduating class of Wawasee High School.

Miller, valedictorian, is the daughter of Steve and Cheryl Miller, Leesburg, and plans to attend Purdue University. She is undecided on her major. She has been involved in dance, student teaching of dance, Academic Super Bowl, Key Club, Drama and National Honor Society.

Haessig, salutatorian, is the daughter of Dave and Kim Haessig, Milford. She plans to attend Grace College majoring in elementary education and special needs education. She has been active in The Salt Company youth group, making crafts with residents at Miller’s Merry Manor, playing volleyball with friends, art and enjoying the lake.

Wawasee High School’s Class of 2013 will graduate Saturday, June 8.
