A Spring Bling Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Baker Youth Club, 765 W. Market St., Warsaw. The event is sponsored by Indiana Business Opportunities Partners and is free to attend. All proceeds benefit the BYC.
Doors will re-open at 2:30 p.m. to view items up for auction, and a quarter auction will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets for the quarter auction are $5 each. Bring four to six rolls of quarters to maximize the fun. Concessions will be available. Participants in the auction should be 14 or over.
How the quarter auction works: In the center of the table there will be a bucket used to collect quarters from each round. Each item will be held up for participants to view. The auctioneer will tell about the item, including its retail value and how many quarters it costs to play (for example, a $45 item will be a two quarter bid).
If interested in the item, participants place the amount of quarters it costs to play into the bucket and raise their paddle with their number on it up high.
The auctioneer rolls the balls that have matching numbers to the paddle, and selects one ball. When the selected ball matches a paddle number, that person wins the item.
