Slone Leads LCA On Track

lca smallJessica Slone turned in the top performances Monday for the Lakeland Christian Academy Middle School track teams.

Slone, competing in the 7th grade girls competition, won the 100 (14.6), 200 (31.1) and 400 (1:14.5) events for the Cougars.

LCA competed against Whitko and Manchester. Whitko won the 7th grade girls meet with 69 points, while Manchester had 35 and LCA 25.

Heather Plastow placed first in the 800 with a top time of 3:02.9 for LCA in 7th grade action. She was also third in the 100 and fourth in the 1,600. Becky Bibler placed third in the discus for LCA.

Elijah Raymond was second in the long jump, third in the 200 and fourth in the 400 for LCA in the 7th grade boys meet.

Whitko won the 7th grade boys meet with 69 points. Manchester scored 58 and LCA six.

Melissa Goss was third in both the long jump and the 800 for LCA in the 8th grade girls meet. Ellie Nieveen was third in the 200 for the Cougars.

Whitko won the 8th grade girls meet with 79 points, while Manchester had 51 and LCA six.

Colby Stevens was third in the long jump and 100 and fourth in the 200 for LCA in 8th grade boys action.

Whitko won the 8th grade boys meet with 73.5 points. Manchester scored 57.5 points and LCA five.
