The 500 Festival announced Friday the 2013 Finish Line 500 Festival 5K has sold out with 4,000 entries. This marks the 10th consecutive year that the race has reached capacity.

Participants will hit the streets at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4, prior to the start of the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, which also sold out with 35,000 entries. Those participating in the 5K will exclusively be on the course at the start and will be able to cross the finish line without delays before the Mini-Marathon begins at 7:30 a.m.

Participants in the 5K will run 3.1 miles while the 2013 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon participants will run 13.1 miles. The 5K utilizes the same start line and finish line as the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. Runners and walkers in the 5K receive many of the same benefits as the participants in the Mini-Marathon, including:

• Water station (pit area) 
• Entertainment along the course 
• Exclusive packet pick-up area at the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Expo
• A finisher’s medal 
• Complimentary qualification or practice day ticket from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the day of your choice.
  
• A short-sleeved 2013 Finish Line 500 Festival 5K technical shirt 
• A celebration at the 500 Festival Post Race Party

Mini-Marathon and 5K participants, as well as the general public, are invited to visit the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Expo in Halls A and B of the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis on from 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, May 3 and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 4. More than 40,000 people are expected to visit the Expo, which is free and open to the public, to shop the latest in health and fitness gear. The Expo is also the first opportunity for participants to register for the 2014 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and Finish Line 500 Festival 5K on Friday, May 3, 2014.

Mini-Marathon Transfer Program: Deadline this 5 p.m. Friday, April 19.

The 500 Festival will allow registration transfers for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon through 5 p.m. Friday, April 19. Current registrants who are unable to participate may transfer their entry to another person. There is a $20 administration and processing fee associated with all transfers.
