A pair of therapists on staff with the Otis R. Bowen Center for Human Services Inc. have passed their state licensing exams to achieve the licensure designation of Health Service Provider in Psychology.

Dr. Candace Tate and Dr. Siquilla Leibetrau each passed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology to attain the HSPP license. Tate has been the clinical supervisor at The Bowen Center’s Shady Rest facility in Plymouth since July, 2007.
She earned her Bachelor of Science at Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Mo., with a specialty area of study curriculia design and development. Dr. Tate also earned a Master of Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, Springfield, Mo. and earned her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, Springfield. She served her doctoral internship at The Bowen Center. Her specialty and interests include rehabilitation and recovery of chronic, serious mental illness.

Dr. Leibetrau earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a focus in psychology from DePaul University in Chicago in 2006, garnered a master’s degree as well as her doctorate in clinical psychology from Argosy University’s Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
She joined the Bowen Center in 2010 as a doctoral intern, providing therapeutic and psychological testing services in the Columbia City and Albion offices. She advanced as a post-doctoral fellow at the Bowen Center in Warsaw and then as a licensed mental health counselor.
Her interests include trauma-related treatment for both children and adults, as well as anxiety, depression, grief and loss and cutting and eating disorders.
Founded in 1961, the Otis R. Bowen Center for Human Services Inc., is a private not-for-profit, comprehensive community mental health center licensed by the state of Indiana Division of Mental Health.
