Class Act Dance Troupe, a non-profit performing company created in 1986, provides students with additional opportunities to utilize their dance training and develop their abilities through the creative outlets of performance events and community involvement.
The troupe, which includes students ranging in age from 8 to 18, competes on the local, regional and national levels and has performed for such events as Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days, the Legacy program in New York City and for the Harlem Globetrotters. On Sunday, April 21, they will showcase their talents locally at a 3 p.m. performance.
The dance company will perform a variety of pieces in Warsaw Community High School’s Performing Arts Center, and there will be performances by Dance Etc. from Debra Collier’s School of Dance.
Tickets for Sunday’s show may be purchased at the door or at Debra Collier’s School of Dance 574-267-7055.
CADT also performs for many local events including Warsaw’s First Fridays, the Cruisin’ Hoosiers’ Car Show benefitting Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Kosciusko County Fair’s Kiddie Day. The troupe will be returning to Orlando this June for another performance at Walt Disney World, as well as a backstage workshop with the Disney Dancers.
Annual auditions are held for CADT each spring and members rehearse each Saturday throughout the school year, as well as continue year-round training through the studio. For more information regarding the troupe or to schedule a performance, contact Tammy Seibold at 574-267-7055 or go online.
