The National Weather service has now issued a flood warning for the Eel River at North Manchester. The warning, in effect from tonight through Sunday afternoon, affects Kosciusko, Whitley, Wabash and Miami counties.

At 3 p.m. today the stage was 8.1 feet and rising. Minor flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 9 feet.

The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Friday morning and crest at nearly 9.9 feet around 2 a.m. Saturday. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action for the rising waters.
