images-7WARSAW – A valiant rally fell just short for the Warsaw softball team on Tuesday night.

The host Tigers dropped a tough 11-10 final to East Noble in non-conference action.

East Noble built an 11-2 lead only to see Warsaw plate eight runs in the home half of the fifth inning to cut the deficit to 11-10.

The Tigers had the tying run on second base when the final out of the game was recorded.

Kaleigh Speicher led the offense for the Tigers with two hits, including a double. She also took the pitching loss in the circle for the hosts.

Kayla Snider also had two hits and Ashley Ousley two RBI for the Tigers in the loss. Taylor Stiver had a double for Warsaw.

Warsaw, playing its first game since a 4-2 home loss to Elkhart Central on March 23, drops to 0-2.

The Tigers host Carroll Wednesday at 5 p.m. and entertain South Bend Riley Friday at 5 p.m.
