Lincoln Elementary Student Council has been very busy this year. The council, which is comprised of 23 fifth and sixth grade students, has organized two canned food drives for needy area families, shown appreciation to local firefighters and police officers at Christmas and has conducted a successful Riley Children’s Hospital fundraiser which lead to the naming of Lincoln as a “Miracle School.”

Two Lincoln families, who experienced devastating house fires, have received help from fundraisers spearheaded by the council. Council funds have also been donated to Jacob’ s Ladder, needy families from the Philippines and Larry the Animal Guy. This philanthropy has been accomplished through the amazing generosity of Lincoln students and their families under the guidance of the council.
