Sue C. Schaaf, 77, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:03 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Warsaw to Fred and Mary (Schooley) Hoover.
Sue was united in marriage to Kenneth Schaaf on Nov. 26, 1954, in Warsaw.
She was a lifetime Warsaw resident and was employed by L.M. Berry Inc. for 10 years. Also, she was a self-employed babysitter for many years and raised many local children who were always considered and counted as part of her family. She was a member of the First Brethren Church of Warsaw for over 58 years.
Survivors include her husband: Kenneth Schaaf, Warsaw; daughters: Shannon (Jeff) Brown, Peru, Ind.; and Marcia (Brent) Hollinger, Warsaw; a son: Jeff (Vicki) Schaaf, Mosinee, Wisc.; a brother: Terry Hoover, Kokomo, Ind.; a sister: Sherrie (John) Durham, Leesburg, Ind.; stepmother: Agnes Bowman, Peru; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her brother Wayne Hoover and sister Jean Brown preceded her.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Howard Immel will officiate the services. A private interment service will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
