Jerry L. C. Belcher, 21, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:27 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born April 24, 1991, in Warsaw to Johnny and Angela (Renschler) Belcher. He was a 2009 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
On Jan. 13, 2009, Jerry entered the U.S. Army through Des Plaines, Ill. He was a SITCOM Systems Operator while serving with Operation New Dawn during the Iraq War. PFC Jerry L.C. Belcher was honorably discharged July 13, 2011, through Fort Riley, Kan.
He worked as a press operator for ABC Companies in Nappanee, Ind. He loved riding his motorcycle and souping up cars, enjoyed being around family and friends and playing video games. His dad helped him build his first car.
Jerry is survived by his parents: Johnny and Angela Belcher, Warsaw; a sister: Mallory (Mark) Ashcraft, Colorado Springs, Colo.; his paternal grandmother: Sandra Belcher, Warsaw; and his maternal grandmother: Laura Stoops, Pierceton, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Jerry L Belcher; maternal grandfather: Charles Renschler; and his stepgrandfather: Tom Stoops.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, in the funeral home. Pastor Gary Boschain of First Christian Church, Warsaw, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
