Ganassi is the owner of Target Chip Ganassi Racing and Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing in the IZOD IndyCar Series. With more than 30 years in racing, his teams have won multiple Indianapolis 500 races including with Emerson Fittipaldi (1989 as co-owner of Patrick Racing), Juan Pablo Montoya (2000), Scott Dixon (2008) and Dario Franchitti (2010, 2012) and championships in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In 2010, Ganassi became the first owner in history to win the “Triple Crown” of American auto racing by winning the Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 in the same season and then made it a “Chip Slam” when he added the Rolex 24 At Daytona the following January.

Ganassi, who also has teams that compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, started his racing career as a CART driver in 1982 and competed in five Indianapolis 500 races (1982 -1986) with a best finish of eighth in 1983.

During this event, guests will enjoy a hearty Hoosier breakfast, take a lap around the famed oval in their vehicle (weather permitting), tour the garages and experience Pole Day Qualifying for the 2013 Indianapolis 500 (immediately following the event). Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will salute Hoosier mayors from across the state in attendance in celebration of the month of May in Indiana. In addition, the 2013 500 Festival Queen will be crowned.

This event is open to the public. Individual tickets are available for $60 and corporate and community tables are available for $750. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call the 500 Festival at (317) 614-6400.
