Thomas Wills Miller, 72, of Cromwell, Ind., passed away on March 21, 2013.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1941, in Logansport, Ind., to Richard and Jean (Wills) Miller. He married Debra Phillips in 1975.
Tom was raised in Syracuse, Ind., and graduated from Syracuse High School where he lettered in baseball, basketball and track for the Yellow Jackets.
After serving in the United States Army as a medic, Tom attended Indiana University. He then worked for over 30 years at Central Soya. At the time of his retirement he still greatly enjoyed his job.
In the years following his retirement, he enjoyed golfing with his many friends, reading books, watching old movies, fishing with his grandkids, taking care of the family farm, cooking meals for his wife, Debbie, traveling around the country visiting old friends, and helping Debbie with the animals.
Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years: Debbie; his son, Flemming (Lori) Miller; his sister: Michele Hart; nephew: Jason Hart; and his three grandchildren: Charlie, Sophie and Max.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to p.m. Monday at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier, Ind. A memorial service in his honor will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier, Ind. Jim Heuer will officiate.
