One trailer is a total loss in the Meadow Acres mobile home park south of Sidney and fire investigators say the cause of the blaze is suspicious.
Sidney and Chester Township fire departments were called to a fire at 12600 South SR 13 Lot 48, just before 11:30 a.m. The mobile home was fully engulfed in flames and a second trailer sustained exterior heat damage from the blaze.
No one was hurt in the fire. Squad 70, the Kosciusko County fire investigation team was called to the scene to determine a cause. Investigator Gordon Baker tells StaceyPageOnline.com this evening that the fire started in a front bedroom of the trailer in the children’s bedroom. The cause remains under investigation but is being considered “suspicious.”
The Kosciusko County Chapter of the American Red Cross has been called to assist the family with shelter, food and clothing. The trailer was occupied by John Baldridge Jr. and Dedria Allen and two children.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
