images-1 copyINDIANAPOLIS – A dozen area senior standouts, including Warsaw’s Jared Bloom and Triton’s Clay Yeo, have been named to the Top 100 Senior boys basketball list released by Hoosier Basketball Magazine.

The Top 100 list will be cut down to the final 60 following the State Finals this coming Saturday. Those players will then be invited to the Top 60 Workout on Sunday, April 7 at Marian University in Indianapolis. That workout, divided into two sessions, will help coaches select players for the Indiana All-Star team.

Bloom, a 6-0 guard, averaged a team-high 17.7 points-per-game his senior season. The clutch backcourt ace led coach Doug Ogle’s team to a Class 4-A sectional championship.

Yeo, a 6-6 wing player, has led No. 10 Triton into the Class 1-A state championship game this Saturday in Indianapolis. The Valparaiso University recruit, who should be a lock for the All-Star team, is averaging 26.3 ppg. and now has 1,966 for his prep career.

The impressive list also feature Mishawaka Marian star Demetrius Jackson. The explosive 6-1 guard and one of the top candidates for Mr. Basketball honors, has signed to play at Notre Dame. Jackson  averaged 26.8 ppg. this past season and earned selection to the prestigious McDonald’s All-American team.

Also named to the Top 100 group are Markese McGuire (Elkhart Memorial), Franko House (Concord), Austin Torres (Penn), Ethan Pike (Bremen), Drew Benedict (Columbia City), Derek Hinen (Columbia City), Brock Cosey (South Bend Riley), Taron Miller (South Bend Clay) and Chris Mitchell (Mishawaka).

McGuire, a 6-2 guard, has signed to play at the University of Illinois-Chicago. House, a 6-6 forward, is bound for Ball State and 6-7 Torres will attend Notre Dame.
