MILLERSBURG – The Millersburg Lions Club is accepting registrations for its 9th Annual Benefit Golf Scramble.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 18 starting at 8 a.m. at the Timber Ridge Golf Club in Millersburg.

This year, in addition to the normal scramble event and prizes for it, there will also be a special team competition held. The team which shoots the lowest gross score will win trophies along with 50 percent of a special prize money from an addition entry fee for teams.

Cost of the event is $60 for Timber Ridge members and $70 for non-members. A special couples price is $100 for members and $120 for non-members. There is also an addition entry fee of $80 per team for those wishing to form a team.

The entry fee includes golf, a cart, breakfast, lunch, donation and prizes. Players wanting to enter the scramble are advised that pre-arranged four-person teams are preferred.

Sponsorships are also needed for the tournament. Corporate sponsorships are $500 and includes a team entry. Hole sponsorships are also needed and are $50 for those who have sponsored a hole in the past and $100 for new sponsors.

All proceeds from this charitable event will go the Sonshine Day Care Ministry in Millersburg and to other local community needs.
