Husky Trail, from Parker Street to Patterson Road in Warsaw, was closed for about 30 minutes Wednesday night while emergency crews cleared the scene of a head-on crash.

Just before 11 p.m. two vehicles collided, trapping one person inside a vehicle. Warsaw Police, Warsaw Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS immediately responded to the scene. Two people were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment, including a Jacqueline Hutchison, 47, of Warsaw; and her 16-year-old son, Miquel J. Huizar.

Hutchison was westbound on Patterson Road when her vehicle began to slide on the snow-covered road and hit another vehicle head-on, which was eastbound on Patterson Road. The second driver, Celia Bajas, 49, of Warsaw, complained of knee pain but refused EMS at the scene.

Hutchison complained of chest and hip pain and her son may have suffered a hand injury. Non of the injuries were life-threatening.

Damages in the crash were estimated at about $25,000.
