Snow Was Ultimately Behind Car Fire

car fireA car fire near Chapman Lake early this morning was captured by reader Aaron Lindsey who sent us this photo.

Leesburg/Plain Township Fire Department responded to the blaze at 5:33 a.m. According to fire chief Michael Wilson, the occupants got the vehicle stuck in snow and likely overheated the drivetrain while trying to get it unstuck.

There were no injuries. The car fire occurred at the entrance to Lake Forest housing addition and EMS C30 Lane.
