WHS Students Represent At ISSMA

Wawasee High School choral students represented the school Feb. 16 at the Indiana State School Music Association contest at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis.

Receiving a silver in group one on their girls trio were members McKenzie Hare, Kasey Shell and Brittany Willis. Delaney Brooks received a silver placing on her solo. Hare and Tristan Palmer received golds on their vocal solos.

Brooks, Hare and Palmer advanced to the state contest by earning golds on their vocal solos during the district competition Jan. 26 at Fairfield High School. Also advancing to the state was the girls trio of Hare, Shell and Willis, who received a gold at Fairfield.
Also at Fairfield, Melodie Jones received a gold on her vocal solo in group three. The girls ensemble with members Brooks, Chelsea Caudill, Megan Goralczyk, Ashley Hoover, Nicole Hurt, Alexis Prescott-Weldy, Kaylin Rogers, Rhyan Simmons and Kristin Vance also received gold in group three for their ensemble.
And receiving a silver on their vocal solos in group one at Fairfield were Kaylee Nelson and Shell.
