Women Build, a program of Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County, will be breaking ground on this home later this month.

Join Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County and the Jones family – Diane and Keatrine – at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, for a groundbreaking ceremony at 549 E. Market St., Warsaw. The ceremony will be the inaugural event of Women Build in Kosciusko County.

More than 180 women have registered but the goal is to have 200 volunteers. Those interested can go to www.kosciuskohabitat.com and click on the green “Volunteer” link at the top of the page to register. Volunteer coordinators Joni Truex and Amy Scroggs will be working on the volunteer schedule in the weeks leading up to the build.

To date, $58,180 of $70,400 has been raised. Donations may also be made online.

IHCDA, Habitat for Humanity of Indiana, Zimmer, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, USW Local 809 Women of Steel of DePuy, DePuy Synthes, Group Dekko Divas, the Women of Grossnickle Eye Center, Monkey Power, the Women of Expressions, Malcolm Associates, Niff-tone, Collier’s, Lowe’s and Whirlpool have already committed to the helping with project, and countless individuals have also helped the project reach this point.
