Triton To Pre-Sale Regional Tickets

BOURBON – The Triton High School Athletic Department has announced pre-sale ticket plans for the Class 1-A boys basketball regional the school will host on Saturday, March 9.

Only all-tournament tickets, good for all three games on Saturday, will be pre-sold. Tickets are $10 each and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. Pre-school and younger children will be admitted free on Saturday.

Pre-sale tickets will be sold Tuesday from 7:45 a.m. until 4 p.m. to parents of Triton players and cheerleaders. On Wednesday, tickets will be sold again from 7:45-4 to Triton season pass holders, senior citizen gold card holders and Triton staff members.

Tickets will be sold on both Thursday and Friday to the general public. Tickets will be sold Thursday from 7:45-4 and again from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 7:45-4.

The Class 1-A Triton Regional features the host Trojans, who won their sixth straight sectional championship Saturday night at Culver. The first regional game at 10:30 a.m. (ET) will pit Gary 21st Century (15-7) vs. Pioneer (20-3). The second game, at approximately 12:30 p.m., has Triton (17-5) facing Fort Wayne Canterbury (15-8). Canterbury defeated Lakewood Park 57-56 Monday night in the sectional  championship game at Hamilton. That game was postponed from Saturday night due to the Canterbury girls basketball team playing in the State Finals on Saturday in Terre Haute.

The semifinal winners return to Triton Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. to play for the regional championship. The regional winner advances to the semi state on Saturday, March 16 to be hosted by either Lafayette Jeff or Huntington North. The semi state assignments will be announced on Sunday, March 10 by the IHSAA.
