Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert has a new addition to the sheriff’s department’s roster. Deputy Sheriff Joel Popenfoose recently replaced a vacancy within the sheriff’s department road patrol division.

Deputy Sheriff Popenfoose, 28, is a 2003 graduate of Warsaw High School as well as a 2007 graduate of Grace College. He holds a degree in criminal justice.

Popenfoose is a native of Kosciusko County, serving as a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Reserve Officer for the last two years.

Sheriff Goshert stated that Popenfoose was selected from a large group of excellent candidates and will be a great asset to the department, as well as the citizens of Kosciusko County.
