LAGRANGE — Lakeland used a trio of gymnasts to help pass a test Tuesday night, beating Warsaw 97.4-96.05 on its home equipment.

Caitlin Yoder posted a pair of top scores for the Lakers, winning vault at 8.65 and floor at 8.75. Samantha Gieseking added a third top score for Lakeland, running up an 8.8 on the beam and had a 7.9 on the bars. Gieseking and Chloe Sturdivant both were given 8.7s to help Lakeland sweep the floor, Sturdivant also adding an 8.5 on vault.

Gieseking led all competitors with a 33.65 in the all-around scoring.

Warsaw were paced by the pair of Abbi Baum and Shannon Winslow. Baum led all competitors on bars at 8.0 and was fourth on floor at 8.6. Winslow piled up a 32.8 all-around score, highlighted by an 8.5 second-place score on beam, 7.65 on bars and 8.25 on vault, both third-place scores.

The JV scores for Warsaw included a 7.3 on vault for Molly Borchers and 7.05 on floor for Katie Richard.

Warsaw will host West Noble Thursday night.
