SOUTH BEND – The Warsaw boys bowling team came up short Saturday in its bid to earn a spot in the State Finals.

The WCHS team, coached by Glen Ransbottom and Kirk Wyman, did not make the cut to advance from the South Bend Semistate contested at Chippewa Lanes.

Warsaw was making its second appearance in the semi state round of the state tourney series after a third-place finish in the regional at Lafayette last weekend.

Competing Saturday for the Warsaw squad were seniors Camden Wysong, Chris Dausman and Jim Miller, along with sophomores Chris Stichter, Jim Pifer and Caden Roberts and freshman Logan Vetor.

Stichter also failed to advance to State in individual singles action as he placed 17th on Saturday.

The State Finals are slated for Feb. 16 in Lafayette.
