The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has scheduled mobile food pantries for February and one is set to be in Warsaw on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Fresh perishable items (dairy, grains, produce and protein) and dry goods are offered free of charge to northern Indiana residents. The Food Bank’s mobile pantry team set up tables at pre-scheduled locations where people can “shop” and select items that best meet their needs.

The pantries are first come, first serve for those in need of food assistance.  Mobile Pantry patrons must provide a valid photo ID (driver’s license or Indiana ID) and are asked to bring bags or boxes to transport their items home.

Mobile food pantries serve approximately 300 households during a two-hour time period.

The following area mobile food pantries will be held:

Friday, Feb. 8 – 10 a.m. to noon at Charles Black Recreation Center (Indoors), 3419 W. Washington St., South Bend

Wednesday, Feb. 13 – 10 a.m. to noon at Maple City Chapel (Indoors), 2015 Lincolnway E., Goshen
