Rosemary Spencer Beard, 80, of Beaver Dam Lake, Claypool, Ind., passed away at 8:26 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, Ind.

She was born May 15, 1932, in Oswego, Ind., to Harry and Dessie (Harrington) Spencer. She married William Beard who preceded her in death.

Rosemary was the supervisor of the Bradner Village Retirement Center of Marion, Ind. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1950 and was a member of the Beaver Dam Church of Akron, Ind. She was a member of the Widow/Birthday Club of Beaver Dam Church.

She is survived by a daughter: Ramara (Wayne) Hendrix, Claypool; a son: Steven (Diana) Rish, Akron; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters: Betty Spencer, Georgia; Joan Rumple, Upland, Ind.; and June Hohman, Florida.

She was preceded in death by a son: Rick C. Rish; four brothers: John, Bob, Bud and Charles; and two sisters: Caroline and Lousie.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 21, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. The service will follow at noon Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Butch Troke. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
