KREMC President Stepping Down

Steve RhodesKosciusko County REMC President and CEO Steve Rhodes has announced his resignation as he has accepted a position with a larger co-op.

Rhodes, who has served at KREMC since 2003, has taken a position in DeFuniak Springs, Fla., with Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative Inc.

KREMC Marketing Director Emily Cowan said Rhodes announced his resignation on Dec. 28, 2012. His last day will be Jan. 29.

“This is a big promotion for him and we’re obviously happy for him but sad to lose him,” said Cowan.

Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative Inc., also called CHELCO, is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative with 43,000 members. KREMC is also a Touchstone Energy Cooperative serving 17,000 members.
