Just before 9 p.m. Wednesday a New Jersey man was killed along U.S. 30 in Whitley County when he lost control of his truck on the icy highway.

John Knaver, 50, of Wenonah, N.J., and two passengers – Daniel Nevius, 26, of Gloucester, N.J., and John Knaver Jr., 31, of Deptford, N.J. – were westbound on U.S. 30 near Whitley County Road 300 West when, while passing another vehicle, Knaver lost control. The truck, a 200 Dodge SUV, left the road and rolled several times.

Knaver was pronounced dead at the scene. Knaver Jr. and Nevius were taken to Parkview Regional Hospital for treatment of right shoulder and leg pain.
