With one week remaining until the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association (IHSWCA) holds its first team state dual meet tournament, familiar names top the third classed power poll of the season.

Perry Meridian in Class 3A, Yorktown in 2A and Adams Central in 1A remain the teams to beat in their respective classes. Since the beginning of the season, those three have dominated the rankings of Hoosier mat teams, based on school enrollment.

The IHSWCA’s first team state tournament will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, at Westfield High School, just north of Indianapolis.

There will be 24 teams in the field, with three classes of eight teams each.

IHSWCA representatives across the state vote in the classed poll, using dual-meet strength as their criteria. The classed poll is sent out in addition to the Top 20 rankings that were released earlier.
